Where is everybody! Eating?

I know I was. I went to daggum Whataburger this morning. I was running late and got in the car to go work out. Well, I decided I couldn't get a "meaningful" workout in so I decided to eat fat. Yep, a pitfall. I typically never do this; I prefer cereal or bagels or Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage English Muffins at the house. So I splurge! I get only the Breakfast on a Bun with Sausage. Thank you Whataburger for the 550 calories I ate in those few minutes. Well, the true tradgedy is that I typically get 2 of those kind of sandwiches but I decided to instead get one and get a burrito at Taco Bueno. Typically, I am proud to preach that "Taco Bueno is a good gas station burrito." Really and truly, it just barely that good. So I hit the web and sure enough I learn that 1 bean burrito is 600 calories and 1600mg of sodium. Please begin to write my obit.

So I'm outraged! Since no one wants to do anything on this blog, I suggest a task. Let's each choose Fast Food joints we frequent, go on their website and try to pin point the "healthier" stuff. Then report that intel on this blog and we can create a master list that we can keep in the car. This can help us order when we have no option but to eat out and will probably save us a few hundred calories. What do you think?

We can give all the info on each food that we deem healthier.

Sadly, I must say that I'm thinking the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger from Jack in the Box is not healthy. So tragic.

I'll take Taco Bell and Chili's. I think it's a great plan Jorge.

BTW, my goal for Memorial Day is down 10 pounds!?!?!?

I know if I put forth the effort, I can do it and I know it will benefit me and my husband!

Andrea, are you doing this for you or Karl? Cuz it's gotta be about you.

We go to Furrs most Wednesday evenings before church. I thought I was doing so good to get the baked fish. Last night at WW they said the baked fish - a whole piece is about 12 points. That blows the points for the day. They said you can go to almost any web site and get the mutritional printout of the foods they serve,. I have not had time to do that yet but I will try to at least do Furrs. Because Applebees has a WW menu they do not list the nutritional info for the rest of their menu. We have to be aware of what we are putting in our bodies. Some things seem so harmless but are full of hidden fat - baked fish at Furrs. I don't want to write your obit or mine. We can do this for our health and our families. Pam
