Nana

At school yesterday we started a new campaign called "Walk Across Texas". In teams of 8 we are supposed to walk 830 miles in the next 8 weeks (104 miles each -average or 1.8 miles a day - 7 days a week). I at first said, 'No, thanks." My feet (actually my arches) hurt so bad when I walk a lot, but they needed me to finish a team (Wonder who had a hand in this)so I am in. Our campus has 4 teams. Lynda is on a different team. Ours is called "The Leftovers". Last night Michael and I walked 3 miles and this morning before school I walked 1. I hope to walk 3 miles a day or at least 15-20 a week so when something comes up I won't feel so pressured. Yes, my feet hurt but I did it anyway. It is not so bad when you have company. Anyway, hopefully this will help me keep that 3 pounds I've been yo-yoing with off and lose some more. Join the callenge if it will help any of you. We could put together our weight loss team if anyone is interested. I have the form. Have a great dya. I hope this posts - if it does it will be my first succussful try. Pam

You did it! You created a post! Keep 'em coming so you don't forget. So is the walk across TX deal only for outside walking? or is gym equipment ok?

Can we walk across Texas if we live in Iowa? Better yet, will someone else be on my team...I need three more someone's apparently. Neil is out (I am guessing...her back is down and out). She is having an MRI done tonight. I need a team...what a way to stay motivated!
